How far is the property from shops and pubs?
Hillcrest is within walking distance of Beaumaris which has good range of shops and several pubs and restaurants including Ye Olde Bulls Head and Harrys Bistro. You won't be short of things to do in the town as there are many craft and special interest shops a short stroll from the house you will discover a medieval castle which daties back to the reign of Edward I and a Victorian pier, gaol & courthouse.
Is there a Supermarket nearby?
The SPAR is 5 minutes walk away and sells most things. For a larger choice the Waitrose or Tesco are only a couple of miles away at Menai Bridge and Bangor.
Are there walks near to the property?
Hillcrest is ideally situated for walkers of all abilities. There are many local footpaths (details in Visitors manual and several books in the property) as well as the Angelsey Coastal Path and circualr walks. Details of recommended walks can be supplied in advance if requested. A weekly walking group sets off from the Community Centre a few hundred yards from the property and details of these walks can be supplied ahead of your visit.
Is the location quiet and peaceful?
Hillcrest is situated in one of Beaumaris streets but has the benefit of double glazing which reduces any traffic noise. Beaumaris is not generally a noisy town.
Is there parking at the property and for how many cars?
Parking for a family car is usually available a short walk from the house. Like most seaside towns Beaumaris is busy in July and August and then it is possible to arrange a free permit to park on the Green a 5 minute walk away.
Is there Broadband access at the property?
Sorry there is no Broadband access at this property.
Is there a childs chair and travel cot?
Yes we provide both a travel child’s cot and chair
Do you accept dogs and for how many can i bring?
Yes the property accepts dogs and a maximum is 2 at a £10 charge each.
Is the garden enclosed and how big is it?
The garden is enclosed with a 8ft wall and gate and therefore safe for children and dogs. It is small but a pretty courtyard style with sitting area and lots of potted plants and has outdoor garden table and chairs.
Do you offer short breaks
Yes we offer short breaks of 3 and 4 day breaks throughout most of the year apart from July and August. However we do not offer 1 and 2 nights stays due to the turn round procedure.
Are start days flexible
Check in days are on a Friday and Saturday for weekly stays and Friday and Mondays for short breaks. Please email to check first as our booking system only will allow certain day check-ins.
When do I recieve information regarding directions, key collection for the property once I have booked?
You will receive all the information about the property with directions and key collection once we have received the full payment of your booking and 10 days’ prior to your arrival
Are there any additional costs?
Heat/Light, basket of logs, bed linen, towels are all included in the price. Optional holiday insurance is extra and if you wish to pay by PayPal there is a 2.5% charge.
