Odd Cottage frequently asked questions
How far is the property from shops and pubs?
Odd Cottage is about 5 minute drive from Stow on The Wold where you will find an extensive range of shops, Take Away's, Pubs and a selection of fine dining Restaurants. You can also walk to the local fine dining Pub ‘The Horse and Groom’ which is just a minute’s walk away.
Is there a Supermarket nearby?
There is a Tesco at Stow on The Wold a 5 minute drive and a Budgens at Moreton in the Marsh a 15 minute drive.
Are there walks near to the Cottage
There are plenty of public footpaths within a few minute’s walk of the Cottage, with access to country fields and wooded areas. A great walk is down to Lower Oddington, taking the public footpath to the right over the fields to the historical Church of St Nicholas
Is the location quiet and peaceful?
Odd Cottage is located on a small no through road and is surrounded by fields to the front of the property. The area is very peaceful and traffic through the village is very minimal, therefore the Cottage has a tranquil feel to it.
Is there parking at the property and for how many cars?
There is no off road parking, but you can park two cars at the top of Brans lane which has a small pull in lay-by and is only 30 meters from the Cottage.
Is there Broadband access at the property?
Yes there is Wi-Fi internet access at the property
Is there a childs chair and travel cot?
Sorry we do not provide a travel child’s cot and chair at this property.
Do you accept dogs and for how many can i bring?
Yes the property accepts dogs and a maximum of 2 at a £10 charge each.
Do you accept Cats?
There is stricktly a NO CAT policy due to the owners allergies.
Is the garden enclosed and how big is it?
Odd Cottage has a small enclosed patio area at the back of the Cottage. The area is fully enclosed and has outdoor table and chairs for 4 and BBQ and is a private and secluded area.
Do you offer short breaks
Yes we offer short breaks of 3 and 4 day breaks throughout the whole of the year. However we do not offer 1 and 2 nights stays due to the turn round procedure.
Are start days flexible
Check in days are on a Friday and Saturday for weekly stays and Friday and Mondays for short breaks. Please email to check first as our booking system only will allow certain day check-ins.
When do I recieve information regarding directions, key collection for the property once I have booked?
You will receive all the information about the property with directions and key collection once we have received the full payment of your booking and 10 days’ prior to your arrival
Are there any additional costs?
Heat/Light, basket of logs, bed linen, towels are all included in the price. Optional holiday insurance is extra and if you wish to pay by PayPal there is a 2.5% charge.
