Luxury holiday cottages in England & Wales

Gorwel

Cemaes Bay , Anglesey

Sleeps: 6

Bedrooms: 3

Gorwel is a stunning modern Anglesey large holiday house with stunning sea views and located in the fishing village of Cemaes Bay.  This charming coastal village nestles at the north tip of Anglesey and protected by a spectacular coastline and well protected harbour. Once a busy port with a small fleet of fishing boats and boat building facilities Cemaes was a hive of activity. This unspoiled seaside village has the charm of days gone by and its rugged coastline reminds you of a typical cornish village and offers something for everyone with its well stocked village, pretty little harbour and two beaches.

To reach Gorwel you drive through the village and follow the beach road up to the small hamlet of Penrhyn which is perched on the south headland.  This newly built house is positioned right on the cliff overlooking the ocean and out towards the Isle of Man. The house offers wonderful luxury and spacious accommodation. Downstairs there is a  contemporary dining kitchen with Fridge, Freezer, Dishwasher, Oven, Hob, Microwave. The light and airy dining area is perfect for candle lit dinners with a wood burning stove adding character and warmth for winter months and in the summer patio doors lead to a decked area and an impressive sunken garden.  The garden offers furniture, loungers and a barbecue a perfect space to enjoy outdoor activities in a safe environment.

There is a twin bedroom on the ground floor with its own en-suite shower room offering a fabulous high tech shower and off the hall there is a small clockroom toilet.

The lounge has been cleverly positioned upstairs to take full advantage of those spectacular views and with fully width glazed windows, it perfectly frames the magnificent views and opens onto a balcony which takes full advantage of the stunning panorama. The neutral palette of the lounge provides a relaxing atmosphere and is complemented by a log burning stove and the stairgate protects access to the open plan staircase.

There is a stunning master bedroom which offers a luxurious and spacious bedroom with en-suite bathroom and showering bath. The crisp soft furnishings of the master bedroom and its’ super-king size bed where breakfast in bed is a real luxury as you gaze and look at the sea. On a warm day just throw the french windows open to Juliet balcony and breath in the wonderful sea air. There is also a twin bedroom upstairs and a large luxury family bathroom with separate shower completes the upstairs accommodation.

What you can see from the lounge and master bedroom windows: Stunning ocean views and on clear day the Isle of Man.

Dogs welcome Cottage All four legged friends receive a special doggy welcome pack.

Gorwel is next door to Penrhyn Cottage and is ideal for double bookings  to accommodate larger group bookings.

Things you should know: Gorwel is located near to the cliffs and coastal path and therefore benefits from magnificent Sea Views. In extreme weather the property is exposed to high winds and salt spray from the sea.  The property offers a warm and cosy retreat from the elements and is well aired and dry, however in extreme conditions the large windows in the lounge can take a battering from wind and sea spray.

Hobhey- June 2011

"What an absolutely stunning property. Situated on the cliffs, the first floor lounge has a glass gable end that provides the most incredible views over the sea. It is a five minute walk from the village centre and beach. The house was immaculate and everything we could have needed was there. Even a doggy welcome pack!Dog friendly, although our golden retrievers could easily jump over the garden wall!!!I would highly recommend this property. The fact that it is almost completely booked up for the year speaks for itself...""
