Hog Cottage is an idilic Derbyshire Luxury Holiday Cottage and is located in the market town of Wirskworth. Leaving the town you start to climb up a hill towards the small hamlet of Gorsey Bank and its quaint haphazard collection of cottages which was once the home to of a Victorian fabric Mill and a Hat Factory. The delightful assortment of cottages reminds you of the smuggles seaside village of Polperro but without the sea or fishermen and if you pause for a moment its easy to imagine the hustle and bustle of people going about their daily business in this tiny Mill community.
At the very top of Gorsey Bank you will find Hog Cottage which is tucked between another two cottages. Its a picture postcard cottage and in the summer the cottage garden is alive with colour and a stunning Wisteria climbs gracefully up the front of the Cottage. Its hard to imagine that this beautiful cottage was once two dwellings and housed the Hat Factory workers families. Once inside the cleverly converted cottage feels spacious and offers modern day luxuries. You enter the Cottage through a stable front door into a snug area with a desk and easy chairs which offers a perfect place for chilling out on summer evenings. From the sung a door leads to a lovely cottage style sitting room with a cosy gas living flame fire and comfy sofa and two chairs.
At the other end of the snug there is a archway through to a luxury appointed Kitchen which leads into a stunning Dining Room with a grand dining table which looks magnificent against the stone walls, high ceiling and exposed beams. The dining room leads out onto a secure patio area and in the summer months it provides a wonderful alfresco breakfast area with a small bistro table and chairs.
Upstairs there are two double bedrooms, one offering a Colour TV/DVD and the other with an option of two single beds. There is a luxury appointed Bathroom with bath and separate spacious Power Shower.
This ideal Derbyshire Country Cottage is south facing and takes advantage of its position with a cottage garden at the front which is mainly laid with flower beds and a flagged stoned area making it a perfect summer sitting area with its stone brick BBQ. The most charming part of the cottage is the attention to detail and the quirky collection of pigs which adorn the cottage, from cute cuddly soft toys to wooden and pottery pigs they add to the special touch from the owner.

Testimonials
"Really fantastic cottage and just what the whole family needed. Cottage was very well equipped and was a real home from home. The kids loved all the little pigs everywhere which was a really nice touch. You can tell a lot of thought has been put into equipping this beautiful cottage. Great walks and the kids loved the days cycling at nearby Carsington. Thanks again for all you effort."
