A really lovely few days in Hog Cottage and Wirksworth. Lots of great walks from the Cottage and a short trip to Cromford with its amazing Chocolatier, Taylor-Wilde. A Really comfortable stay.

We had a lovely couple of days at Anna’s place during half term. The welcome hamper was a lovely touch and the place was clean and comfortable. We spent a couple of very enjoyable days cycling the Monsal trail and along the canal paths. I also especially enjoyed spending the summer evenings out in the garden with a glass of wine!

Lovely cottage had a lovely 4days stay. The cottage is very cosy and like a home from home. Beds were very soft, the welcome basket was a very nice touch and did not want for anything. You can only park a very small car, we were unable to park as we have a SUV so we had to park in lane and walk up. I have a lovely time and would come back. Both our dogs loved it, they also like their gift, a very nice touch. We will be back soon, thanks Anna again, had a wonderful time in a wonderful cottage in the perfect place.

Had a lovely weekend here. The cottage is delightful and really comfortable. We visited Cromford Canel, Maltock and the High Peak Trail at Middleton Top.

Had a cracking weekend there with my wife, daughter and her husband and her 9 month old son. There was a stair gate and a cot for the baby which was a great little touch, the cottage itself was brilliant, loads of room, very clean and everything you could want for on short or even long break, 5 minute walk into town which is a lovely place. Matlock is just 20 minute drive and Ashbourne a little bit further. Love this cottage and would definitely stay again, the welcome pack was the best we have ever had.

I had a fantastic stay at Hog Cottage. The cottage is located in a lovely area, extremely quiet. On arrival I received a welcome goody pack. The accommodation was fantastic. Downstairs there was a small stylish sitting room with a gas fire, which was really cosy. The dining room at the rear was very light and well set out, next to the well equipped kitchen. Upstairs was 2 doubled bedrooms and a bathroom. All clean and tidy, finished to a high standard. I would recommend this accommodation and I hope to be back to explore more of this beautiful countryside.
